Label CBC as government-funded media

I just wrote a letter to Twitter calling on them to label all accounts owned by the CBC as “Government-funded Media."

It is a fact, and Canadians deserve the facts.

The CBC received over a billion dollars from the government last year alone, and another $400 million is on the way.

Over 70% of their funding comes from the government.

They take away from a free and competitive press and fuel the media’s bias.

With the BBC and NPR having already been labeled as “Government-funded Media” by Twitter, the same must apply to the CBC.

We must protect Canadians against disinformation and manipulation by Trudeau’s propaganda arm.

To be open and honest, the CBC must be accurately labeled.

And after that, when we have the honour of being elected by Canadians, Conservatives will finally defund the CBC to save taxpayers $1 billion.
